Running…

I’ve always enjoyed running, long distance being my preferred choice – due to me being streamlined !

Tomorrow I shall be running in the BUPA Great South Run, Europe’s leading 10 mile road race. This is brought work, several collegues and myself are running for OGS (Optomotry Giving Sight).

I’m hoping to finish the run in 1 hour 40 minutes, not a particually fast time but that has been my pace during training.

I also received good news that I now have a secured place in the London 2010 Marathon. This is is through the British Heart Foundation charity.

I’m off to eat lots of those special carbs now. I will be sure to post some pics tomorrow of the BUPA run.

2009 Pier To Pier Swim – A Choppy Ride…

The BHF swim was today, after a practice swim yesterday we wern’t sure if it would still be on.

The go ahead was given though and despite very rough waves and strong winds I finished the swim in 35 minutes and raised £135.

Check out this video for some wave action and 1200 red headed people running into 6 foot waves !
